Default My 71 VW turd

I started getting a little tired of the Eclipse and thought Id change directions for a while. Dug the best of 4 vw's out of the grass at my dads place and got tearing into it! Will not be using the factory floor pan or engine, all custom built chassis and probably at least an 8pt cage, will be a 5 speed and rwd. Plan is to keep this a bad to the bone street car, heat, lights, radio, horn etc..

Sweet! Looks like a fun project. Ive always wanted one slammed, no fenders, and no roof.

Its going to have some serious meat on it so Im debating on whether or not to just widen the fenders or leave them off. Ill be lucky if I can even get this thing running by spring time or hell even summer. But if it is, I wont touch the body work until next winter. Money is pretty tight right now so Im not seeing hardly any progress with it. Unless anyone knows someone looking to by an R6! Also a 10 month old in the house hasn't let me have much time in the garage either.

An r6? Audi or Yamaha?

Really cool idea. Did you end up finishing the project?
