Soooooo nothing ever came of this? Maybe it could be done at Blackhawk Farms. The front straight must be 1/2 mile long.

Probably have a lot more competition and less whining if we had a garage queens bench race

I've got an LS and a BBC, pick your poison. They will probably end up in the junkyard at some point. Everybody is so scared to go fast, make a little noise, etc. It's so stupid, I can't even goad people into a little go-fast on the interstate when there's no traffic.

I guess if you have an actual street car you have to do events like the Optima USCA. They are fun but not the same thing.

No, it is that everyone is afraid to lose. This day and age people are so insecure and mentally on the edge, a loss at a race crushes them So to stop that from happening, they just dont race. Usually its done by excuses, "oh my job", or some stupid lie. Then you see them screwing around on the street anyway.

I'm always up for a little play time. I know there will always be someone with more money, more skills, and more time than me. I thought it was about having fun but I guess that's not PC anymore, either.

Talk is cheap.... that's all that happens is talk.

This scene is more about car guy bromance than racing.

I agree with pwrtrip, people are afraid to loose.

Afraid to build, afraid to fail, afraid to live.

How does one learn if one does not lose?

On the internet, anyone can have a 9 or 10 second car. Real life not so much.

I agree with the above statements provided by Marty and MT.
